Just wanted to give a special shout out to Quest Outreach who we donate to on a regular basis. They’re doing something special and instilling new people with hope & dignity every day. You can read a brief introduction to what they do below:

Quest Food Exchange is a non-profit organization that offers accessibility to a variety of affordable and healthy foods for low income and marginalized individuals via four not-for-profit grocery markets in the communities of East Vancouver, Burnaby and Surrey. Quest collaborates with food suppliers who donate their surplus food and social service agency partners who refer their clients.

As the Rio Alcan Festival has already passed here are some awesome photos from the event!

When we saw this event it was a no brainer that we wanted to back this event. The event I’m talking about is Feeding Vancouver’s 5k.
Feeding Van 5k’s focus is to bring light to the fact of how much food waste goes on in the modern world. Can you believe that roughly 40% of the food produced in Canada is never eaten? Crazy!
Well back to the event, they’re having a free lunch using all food that was previously labeled for disposal. We always donate any excess product (never throw out), so we chipped in with some delicious tofu puffs and soy milk.

The event is next week Wednesday May 27th and will be hosted downtown near the art gallery.
