Organic Fresh Medium Firm is a traditional tofu with a smooth yet firm texture, made with certified organic soybeans. One of the most popular varieties of tofu used in cooking. It also comes in a smaller water pack that is 454g (pictured below) and there is also an Organic Fresh Medium Firm Tofu (454g).

Cooking Suggestions
Cube or slice tofu and put in soup or stir-fry. Purée and use in baking as a dairy or egg replacement. Steam with green onions, soy sauce and sesame oil for a quick appetizer or side dish.

Organic Extra Firm Tofu (350g)

Organic Extra Firm Tofu has a very firm, dense meat-like texture, and is made with certified organic soybeans. Referred to often as the “other, other white meat,” this popular mainstream variety is often used as a meat substitute.

Cooking Suggestions
Great for grilling, but be sure to marinate overnight so the tofu can soak up more flavour. Crumble by hand, or with a fork or potato masher. The consistency will resemble ground meat – but it’s cholesterol-free!

Organic Pressed Tofu (350g)

Organic Pressed Tofu is extremely dense with a chewy, meat-like texture similar to chicken. It is denser and firmer than our Organic Extra Firm Tofu. Comes in 2 thin rectangles.

Cooking Suggestions
Use as a meat replacement, much like Organic Extra Firm Tofu. It can be cubed or sliced thinly for stir-frying. Dice in soups or stews. Pressed Tofu can be ground in a food processor or minced and used in place of ground meat.
